North Cestrian International English Foundation Course

Set within a prestigious English Public School - North Cestrian Grammar School - this International English Foundation course is a one year course preparing international students for direct entry onto a university degree programme. The programme delivers academic excellence combined with a unique emphasis on developing effective cross-cultural skills for the participants.
By choosing to study our English Foundation course with North Cestrian Grammar, students benefit from the individualised attention possible within a prestigious Public School. Within our Foundation course there is a clear focus on academic achievement and students are supported by personal tutors; regular Progress Reports are provided to the student and parent. In addition, tutors ensure that any pastoral issues are catered for.
Upon successful completion of the English Foundation course, students are guaranteed progression to a Bolton University degree course. In addition, students may choose to apply to a UK university of their choice via the North Cestrian University application service.

English Foundation course Students then choose specialisations of :
Business & EconomicsStudents are taught the principles and applications of Micro and Macro-Economics, and Business Studies.
EngineeringThis module provides the concepts and skills to equip students to study in Engineering disciplines including Civil, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Access to Bolton University facilities is provided through regular visits to university and seminars by university staff at North Cestrian.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To enrol on the English Foundation course you will need to have a minimum of IELTS5.0. For those students whose English is not sufficiently fluent when they come to the UK, we provide intensive courses before the start of the English Foundation course Year.
Students must have completed High School and achieved academic qualifications equivalent to International Baccalaureate ( a full listing is available on request )
It is particularly suitable for international students who have only completed 12 years of education in school as opposed to 13 years as in the UK.
