Berlitz Manchester, in collaboration with IATA, has developed a complete solution for Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers around the world to meet ICAO’s new English language proficiency standards.
Our Aviation English language training can be delivered in a variety of methods to meet any organisations’ needs and budgets. The training modules are tailored to reflect the working environment of Pilots and Air Traffic Controllers and students will learn how to communicate effectively in English in a variety of aviation related situations such as regular operations, irregular operations and emergencies.
Standard (15 hours a week), Intensive (20 hours a week) or Super-intensive (25 hours a week). This programme is also available as a pathway module and can be combined with General English or IELTS preparation.
Course content includes areas such as:
• Ground operations
• Flight control systems
• Medical emergencies
• Fire risks
• Meteorology
• Take off/landing
• Security
• Avoiding miscommunication
Students require a minimum General English level of B1.
Our English for Aviation syllabus has been carefully designed and structured to ensure students make maximum progress throughout their course. A range of specific Aviation English course books are used over the programme, along with additional material to ensure that students develop their language skills and reach the required standard.
