Cambridge Exam Preparation

This course equips students with the necessary skills to successfully pass a Cambridge examination (Preliminary, First, Advanced or Proficiency). Cambridge examinations are useful for higher level students who require a widely recognised certificate of general competence for employment or study purposes.

Lesson content incorporates exam strategies and techniques, as well as covering speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In addition you will gain in confidence and linguistic competence, which will benefit your ability to communicate in English in general. Throughout the learning process, we measure your progress clearly to highlight strengths, needs and objectives, to ensure that you achieve your goal as quickly and as effectively as possible.

Students who wish to prepare for a Cambridge examination

15 hours of Cambridge exam preparation classes: lesson content covers all sections of the Cambridge exams and focuses on exam strategies and techniques, as well as general language skills.

Students also have the option of one or both of the following modules:

5 hours of General English Communication Skills: Lesson content focuses on developing reading, writing, listening and speaking skills, and allows students to use their language knowledge in a practical way.

5 hours of Cambridge preparation: lesson content covers all sections of the Cambridge exams and focuses on exam strategies and techniques. This programme is full time, minimum of 15 hours and is provided as both a stand alone programme and a Skills Module within our English Pathways programme.

Class levels range from Intermediate (B1) to Proficiency (C2)

All Cambridge syllabuses have been carefully-designed and structured to ensure students make maximum progress throughout their course. A number of course books, along with practice exam material, are used over the programme, all of which are carefully-selected to ensure that students benefit from a range of quality study material. We also ensure to include special activity material and authentic materials such as news articles in order to further develop students’ language skills.
